Default Insurance time again

Just wondering if my renewal quote is good, bad or indifferent. Basically I'm insured through the AA and they're quoting me a shade under €450 for the year on the SiR. I'm wondering if it's worth the annual rigmarole of phoning around as I had a small tip about 18 months ago, so I can't say no when asked if I've had any accidents in teh last five years.

So roughly, what are you paying for the immense pleasure of driving you CRX at the moment.

If ya had a 1990 crx or older, would it not qualify for classic car insurance? Maybe it would be cheaper?

I think some companies offer classic insurance on 20 year old cars, but there may be conditions with those (like limited mileage) and mine's late 91 so I won't qualify for a while yet. Classic motor tax kicks in at 30 years, all right.

h22, with a VT it should in theory be cheaper as some insurance companies won't touch imports! €700 not bad at 22, but it makes me feel better about being an old git!

Well if it makes ye feel any better mine is €1400 TPFT with Mods declared, no penalty points and 3 years Named driving experience but 0 NCB (this year will be the first year I go out on my own) & I'm 27.

I'm being shafted but I couldn't drive the car without declaring the Mods - I drive the car maybe once a month, maybe!!
