Found an Accord radius bar on ebay, posted for just over £20. I'll try to modify this before I look at a traction bar setup & hopefully this will let me away #129310;

Innovative engine & box mounts arrived in the post today (sept 20)...only took 2 months
![]() ![]() On closer inspection, i thought the post mount was a bit too straight for the engine bracket ![]() So, as you do...i sent an email directly to Innovative (by-passing Tegiwa & hoping i'd get a quicker response). I then had a thought...i had bought a spare block ages ago that came from a prelude (H22a) & wondered if there was a mount on it i could see if there were any differences. Low & behold, there is a difference between the prelude & the atr block post mount. H22a on the left, H22a7 on the right ![]() ![]() ![]() The H22a engine bracket fits to the H22a7 block with no issues (other than a bolt locator for the belt cover) & the innovative conversion mount fits on 100%. Fingers crossed all is good when i try to drop the engine in! I've sent another email to Innovative just to get confirmation there are no other differences.

Made a start in making my own manual tensioner. The H22 factory tensioners are reported to fail unexpectedly & this is a fix I can do myself without spending a fortune on something that looks a bit more bling [
![]() First of all, needed to strip it & take some measurements so I can grab the right size of bolt, nuts & tap. I had to break down the tensioner. small slice on the "cap" then just knocked it off to expose the spring & internals. ![]() I then drilled out the bottom of the tensioner, tapped it for an M10 bolt & cut the whole unit in half. It's going to be re-fitted upside down...the existing top part when refitted the factory way will sit too low with the bolt i'm going to be using. ![]() ![]() List of parts used & pre built format: ![]() Finished article ![]()

Made a start on cleaning up the exhaust manifold.
The H22a7 comes standard with a stainless hand welded manifold from the factory specific to each engine & is reported to be as close to the best for this engine. I'll have to modify the collector to match the existing exhaust but that allows me to open up the flow as that's where they reduced the flow to restrict a small amount of power & noise cancellation. ![]()

"Prototype" of the Mugen cone centre cap that i got made.
I drew a basic design in AutoCad & gave it to a mate to see if he could replicate it on the lathe. We looked at delrin & other plastics as i was advised by Stokie previously but he reckoned it would be better to stick with aluminium...it would be just as cost effective & easier coated/protected depending on the finish i wanted. They are based on the Rota Circuit so have a larger bore size compared to the original Mugen's. ![]() ![]() After making it & setting it on the wheel, i reckoned i'd advised it to be too high so Paul is gong to make a new one which will be more "flat" & less angled"

It's been a while since I posted anything & to be fair, not a massive amount more has happened (3 months or so!)
I've been patiently waiting for my h2b plateless kit to arrive from LambTech which has turned out to be a total disaster. 3 months after I had ordered it, nothing had happened, and when I mean nothing, I mean nothing whatsoever! They wouldn't return any messages, emails, requested updates etc. So, I raised it with PayPal for a full refund after digging a bit deeper & found out there had been previous history of this happening with other buyers aswell, (I didn't pick up on this before as it was within a locked fb group which I wasn't part of & did not have access to it at the time)...my blood had seriously over boiled several times by now. Would you believe it, the kit also arrived the day after PayPal fully refunded me too! ![]() Now, the eagle eyed among you will notice that not only is there less in my kit compared to the original image from LambTech but there's something also wrong with mine...they've sent me an ek mount for the rear which is obviously wrong...its been noted numerous times what my application was. So, my plan now is to modify this to fit properly, I will HAVE to re-weld some parts as I reckon Stevie Wonder on LSD welded parts of this & re-paint it as it's only painted on one side :x On a better note, I got my balance shafts removed, my manual tensioner fitted, made my own EGR block off plate & installed along with the rocker repainted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also treated myself to a new wheel [8D] ![]()
