Default couple of questions on the MSD dizzy cap

hi - just a couple of questions on the red/clear MSD distributer cap. PN 82901:
http://www.msdignition.com/sci_9.htm

q1. just got one of these caps for my CRX. It has the extra tower connector on it for an external coil. I dont have a coil at the moment so can I just use it with the stock internal coil? Looks like it will only work with external coil as the little contact inside the cap has like red plastic over it

q2. Also when I get around to buying a blaster type coil, do I have to disconnect the internal coil and extend the two wires through the dizzy case to my new coil or is there an easier way to do it?

thanks
Alan

Default

update - just got a blaster SS coil. Apparently there is not a huge difference on stock - but hey it looks good under the bonnet

I needed to get an external coil for that cap and disconnect th internal coil and extent the wires through the dizzy body to the new coil.
