Default water leaks...

anyone else having trouble with water entering the rear of car in the top of the tailgate area?? im getting fed up of havin to carry a towel on the rear seat to soak up the pool that collects in my crx.looked all round the back end and cannot seem to find the spot,its been attacked with silicone sealer before i acquired the car.it seems to collect in the panel where the gas strut attaches for the taogate and runs from there into the car and down into the rear lamps....any ideas folks??

Usually the rear washer jet, it's notorious for it. Best thing is to lever it off with a couple of old plastic cards, bung a load of silicone sealer in and replace the jet. That usually does the trick.

If you're on CRX-UK, they've done more detailed write-ups on how to do, including pics.

There are actually about half a dozen possible causes.

I siliconed mine and it still leaks. Other problems are - blocked sunroof drain tubes, didgy sunroof seals, dodgy boot seals, adjustment needed on the boot adjusters.

mine also. towel in the back does the job, plus the leather doesnt really stain []

done the washer jet ages ago..it`d been removed and the hole filled with a grommet... damn fool didnt block the pipe tho.. looks to be in the area of the boot hinges kust bel;ow them.. its had a ton o sealer in it already.. aw well time to buy black towels lol
