4-1 give more top end but doesnt help power low down at all.

A 4-2-1 would be my preffered option on a road car as it shows gains thoughout the powerband but you wont see as high a peak gain.

If you have an all out drag car, high lift race cams etc etc then go 4-1 as it is suited to what you are after.

If your running b16b cams and a daily drive for example id go with a 4-2-1.

At the end of the day when you pull away from the lights, a bit of torque and lower down bhp gains will help more than any amount at peak.

Also,Isn't it better to have a 4-2-1 mani when your car is lowered due to the pipes being thiner than the 4-1?

Why would the pipes be thinner on a 4-2-1 [?]

Does the question mark at the end of it not mean something to you?All i remember is that the 4-2-1 mainfold has a bit better ground clearance than the 4-1 on lowered cars due to it only being the thickness or thiness(can't rememer which hence question)of the 2 pipes side by side under the car-rather than 4 pipes under the car with 2 pipes on top of each other

Who told ya that.

Sure it still goes 4-2

It still has four pipes for a bit. Depends on the design really.

Doesnt really bother me as the header on the k engines doesnt have to go under the engine. Its just down and out the back with them
