Screw eircom. Go with Digiweb Metro wireless. 3mb for 30 yoyo including a phone line. No line rental - just pay for your calls. Your phone just plugs into the back of the modem and it uses VOIP to connect you. I think you can even port your eircon number

Mate had the same problem and then when he said hed change they didnt care so he rings digiweb afaik and they were still wait on eircom a month later to do something or other.
Dunno if he has it yet and its nearly 5 months at this stage id say.

Thats digiwebs wired service which relies on eircom phone lines. With Metro, they stick a small dish on your roof and bypass the phoneline alltogether.

Oh, another thing - threaten to report them to Comreg. Even better just write to comreg anyway.
A mate of mine threatened NTL with this and they were falling over themselves to sort out his problem.
