surely you can get the same results by sending your standard ecu off for reprograming

I have a spare socketed SiR ECU. You can get an eprom burner on ebay for 30 notes and burn your own maps.

You can even mod the the SiR ECU to do datalogging. I bought the bits but never got around to it.

There is free software for mapping available, but to do it right you need a dyno.

you can street tune with a wide band and ether a det can or exhaust gas temp sensor. you need an emulator to connect between the laptop and the socket in the ecu to do your mapping when your finished you burn the chip.

if you have any questions about tuning you should ask mcd22 on here he knows alot of stuff and mapped his own car which is impresive by any standard

i had afeels ecu in my first imported rex , it removed the liiters, and upped my air fuel ratio , my car was very fast with this ecu , c'z short shifter where the only mods we could find unless the cams where slightly uprated but i doubt it.

Keep your money in your pocket. Uping the fuel won't make ya go to fast either. Vtec controller and mapped for 150euro is, and quiet sucessfull with standard engines with basic mods, ie Header, exhaust and air filter. Don't bother fitting one though if your not going to get it set. It will most likely slow it again.
