Thanks everyone, yeah I quite like this Torino Red Pearl colour.

I used to have a JDM DA8 Integra in the same colour. (as pictured, sold it about 5 years ago, I really liked this colour back then also, but this car wasn't that quick, despite having a factory B16A engine and Y1 Tranny, the car was just too heavy in 4dr form. weighing in at 1120kg. (220kg over this CRX with only 30hp extra) this car struggled to do high 15 to low 16 1/4 mile passes, but it was a nice car to drive.

The reason I chose a CRX in that colour was because I liked it on the Integra.

I'll post some new pics once some panel and paint work has been done, its booked in for next week.
I've noticed some holes in the window rubbers, especially on drivers side, I suspect waters been going where it shouldn't, which has probably caused that rust shown in the picture.
So I will try and replace these bits also.

Purchased some bits of Ebay last night.
The Clutch is rated to 235 HP / Torque Capacity: 214 ft/lbs, so its a bit overkill for what I need, but it was only $176.99 USD Including shipping.. claims to have the drivability of a stock clutch, so will see how that goes.
"This is a versatile set up for the street and on the track. It provides a smooth engagement yet it can holds 50%+ more power over stock clutches."

The Trusty K&N Drop in replacement panel filter also some 10.2mm Sparkplug leads and Platnium Plugs, this set was only $42.99 USD + Shipping.
In my mind the 20 year old leads on the car won't be performing upto spec.
Cars off on holiday next week for the panel and paint.. so shouldn't be long until I can post some decent pics.

Hi and welcome , nice project you have there , i guess all that sun you get plays havoc with paint , i would leave it 8-10 weeks for the new paint to set and invest in a good uv wax and coat it to death a few times a year , RED pigment in paint is the quickest to fade , which is just one reason why BLACK is always a better colour .

CRX Audio Install.. Planning stage:

Have it pretty much sussed out, am taking the amp, sub, maybe components from my BMW for the CRX.

What I have so far: (Once I take them our of the Bimmer)

Infinity 7541a 4 Channel Amp (4x111w RMS at 4Ohms)
DLS MS5A Component Speakers (5.25inch, 80w RMS)
Image Dynamics IDQ10V2 10inch Sub. (Dual Voice coil 250w RMS)
Nice Ported Sub box tuned to 25hz.

Will also install some dynamat (Sound deadening) the BMW was awesome for this setup, as euro cars have alot of sound deadening standard, however I will get alot more "in car" bass with the CRX, infact audio is one reason I have choosen a CRX for my daily driver.

I'm into SQ rather then SPL.
I ordered some speaker adapters so that my 5.25inch speakers fit the 6.5inch holes

As you can see its not that massive, should fit in the CRX with ease
I'll take plenty of pics of the amp install etc. i've got plenty of hands on experience with this kind of thing, thanks to the BMW, this car will be alot easier to take apart and do the install in

Cars still covered in paint shop dust and windows etc filthy, will sort that out for better pics later.

Most of the car has been re-painted.. both sides .. roof.. bonnet..

A new problem.. I thought, righto, i'll put the new sparkplug leads etc on.
but pulled off the 1st lead and...

Yeap.. oil is covering the entire sparkplug in the cylinder..
I guess a valve cover gasket and new O-rings will sort this issue?

There are 2 seals in the sparkplug stem. One on top of the rockers - easy to do and one between the rockers and the head. (thats if its the same as the dual carb) The rockers will have to be taken off to do them and valve clearances checked while your at it. Was it running funny? with that much oil in it you would expect it to be misfiring...

Got stuck into the audio install today, so far have installed Components, Tweeters, crossovers, Amp power wire, remote wire, RCA's. earth wire

Cables are now ready to connect to my amp and sub, only need to connect the power wire to the battery.

My Speakers fit in the car perfectly and windows go up and down, although there must only be mm's to spare
