Will you be needing to chop the two looms to run the obd1 Gary? I should be picking an obd1 distributor tomorrow or sunday anything else Ill need?

Have a walbro 255lph fuel pump there too to get through fuel faster.. Still in two minds about the gearbox run the non LSD (supposedly reconditioned box) or my own y1 LSD box that has a slight grind that hopefully new gearbox oil will sort

Ronan and Squire: When are the two of ye getting back into CRXs?

If you want, I can strip both box's, check the syncro conditions, and make one good box with the LSD. You will regret it.
I'll get an adapter harness for the ecu.
I can easily repin the obd0 dizzy plug to obd1. What chassis was that engine used in before. The reason I ask, is to do with the injector's. Ef's use low impendance and obd1+ are high. I can test them either way.

I have the adaptor harness, two looms, two distributors..

The engine was in a eg6 have the injectors swapped out they are uprated too..
And that sounds great with the gearbox would be great if you could do that building it into the y1 housing and possibly fitting the FD out of the reconditioned one if its the 4.4 cable one..

Ill get full engine spec up there in a bit and PM ya the whole lot Ill need to get done

@mcd22: Fair play Lad, you know your stuff. Nice to have someone who can accurately answer technical questions in here.

@Paul: I'm hoping to go traveling back over to the UK in the next 3-5 years (I know it's a bit away yet) to pick up another for a project. By then we'll have built/bought a new house and I'll have a garage. Having somewhere to keep the car and work on it was/is always an issue, especially in the city and with the Irish weather.

Definitely keeping an Eye on this Thread. Dibs on pillion passenger when you take her to Bishopscourt or The Pod.

thats the truth about having somewhere to work on it. there's only so much you can do up on axel stands out on your front drive.. and 75% of the time it starts to rain when your halfway thru some

@paul: what do you think the hasports are for so? you can hardly change them at this stage can you?
