Fair play for keeping the faith. Glad you got sorted.

I've got a Tanabe Gold Medallion on mine. It was mental loud when I got it fitted (had to ask for the cone silencer back - it had been binned.) Once the silencer is in it's fine. Quiet enough at low revs, but on VTEC it sounds like you are being chased by a swarm of angry bees. Looks the part too.

Looking forward to seeing what ya do with this.

Went out today and bought myself a jack, stands, creeper(not needed but I like it :-P), need to get some proper sockets and general stuff for working on the car yet. Wish i could have brought them all with me!

Anyway, spent the last hour or so poking around the car. No rust, well a tiny bit on the rh rear arch lip where that stupid plastic cover is on. Nothing to worry about just need to get it cleaned up.

As for the suspension there's a bit more needed, well almost all of the bushes really, as one would expect with 194k on it.

And a ridiculous dent in the sump! Gonna get that sorted sharpish, have a new sump at home in Galway for all its use!!

Debating whether to pick up these http://picperformance.com/store/scri...?idProduct=233 or just go with oem, not sure how hard those pic ones are. I want some comfort in this as the roads here have a ton of expansion joints in them!! (113F/45C here in the summer!!)

Also anyone running Konis on their cars? Thinking of picking up a set but have a feeling they are not what I want for this car. Great shocks though.

@Mark: Is that Tanabe you have on the race end of their range? I think the touring is a bit less aimed at all out gains. Tbh I'm thinking of just getting a stock one haha, I must be getting old.

@Ronan: I'm out here for 3 years but wasn't really out of necessity, had a pretty sound job at home (I'm a composite materials engineer in aerospace) Will probably find it hard to go back but It's a given, even if I have an American GF, she was in Eire with me so not really the reason I'm here either!

Its all good so far and I'm enjoying it but Wichita isn't Galway or Ireland! I miss the family, friends and the sea although not the rain!

Its pretty hard to get into the US these days, it was my old boss that hired me here. There does seem to be more opportunities here if you will work although people give out about the economy just like home.

If you are thinking US and have any Q's give me a shout.(Easier go to Canada or Aus though)

I kinda plan on the same color plan as your new crx, for my weird wheel drive crx.

First CR-X I was ever in and nearly bought was a white VT,one of the best colours...just make sure you keep the bumpstrips black!!
