Hey,Instead of me starting a new thread i thought i might just continue on from this one.Just wondering do you,rex and dave1890 still have a crx or does anyone know if they still have one?

Secondly,I liked the ideas from Gene about promoting the rex in more public and car enthusiast places.Maybe we should be going to more events or have a few track days in the spring or summer,i don't know.Most of us have ordered a crx.org tee-shirt(some may have not picked up theres yet,like john and me)but that is one step towards promoting this site and the crx in ireland.So what is the future?As ye all know there is numerous things we can do;
1)Trackday
2)Meet
3)Get a stand at a Car show or attend some shows in the crx
4)Attend all Honda meets e.g.meet at the tuning factory a while ago
5)A 2 day meet
6)Cruises(although it may not get the right promotion)
7)Constant Nagging of the crx and how great they are(everyone hates me for it)
Anymore?
I know some people may think it's alright the way things are now but ye know aswell as i do that crx's are becoming scarse in ireland and i for one do not want them to become extinct over here in years to come.Lately there has been crx's stolen which are probably burnt out,crx's broken into and of course you'll have the idiot who doesn't respect the car and will right it off so believe me the number of crx's in ireland will decrease in the coming years.
What's ye're opinions on this and what route should we take?
or am i just being a post whore againand posting this for the hell of it,and that things should remain the way they are?

how bout a road trip to europe on the autobahn,maybe do it sponsored and make a bit off money for some charity.

Thatd be an actually really cool idea. Dont think the rex would minda few more k on either of them. Not like they only have 20k or nething.

Think would you raise much, plus the fact we are an island and have no tunnels to mainland europe is a pita.

Lads we have some very fast CRXs on the way so there should be some serious track machinery Im all for trackdays and 1/4miles, Ill be doing them anyway so ye are welcome to join me
Meets are good but we dont want to over do it either 2 maybe 3 a year is loads there are so many there but people wont travel I tell loads of people everytime but but only the the same few genuine enthusiasts turn up every time
Gate crashing honda/jap meets cruises as a group will look very well and promote the Rex
The sound of a road trip is very good to JAE/Nurberg big shows etc but we would want a good few for a convoy..
And as for show cars there is definately potential out there too with the first gen 2 CRX featured in an Irish mag This months Flush Bus[8D]

No not downeys its a 1.6si with a full ibherdesign kit, soundsystem, big wheels etc etc

id be well up for track days and JAE. Id be a bit weary of the ring. giving you motor an utter roasting then having to drive back to ireland! knowing my luck something would go wrong!
