I'm looking for a forest park or something outside PortLaoise - usually nobody around and easy access. No luck yet...

OK there is Capponellan Wood just outside durrow (about 15 miles south of Portlaoise on the Dublin-Cork road)

Says there is a car park and picnic tables etc. Should be no hassle from anyone there. What do people think?

Ah portlaise aint too far south, think of the nice blast down the m1 and m50 Think thats the way neway.

Place sounds just like tuam with their barriers, does give me a laugh when i see speed bumps put in and they leave enough room at each side for two cars

It's motorway (almost) all the way from Dundalk to Portlaoise - and I'll be coming from Cavan so you've no excuse :-)

Yah that seems ok will we make it there so?If anyone wanted it in portlaoise someone could go early and scout the town for any carparks etc... where ya don't have to pay and tell the rest but this place sounds good just don't get confuse with togher (recreational place) which is 1.5km south of portlaoise on the cork road(that concerns the people traveling from north to south which is most of us not including people from limerick though)

Yea that place sounds good.. I just suggested the church car park cause whenever I was in portlaoise it seemed to be open and had lots of space but a more secluded spot would draw less attention..

@ g4ost: G'wan it aint that far its surely worth a blast in the Rex 75mph most of the way[8D]

@ Rich: It aint my fault I live in lovely Limerick

Date-Saturday 23rd July
Time-3:30

Any objections?Should we post it on racershaven telling them about it or will we keep it crx.org people?
