Grrr!!

Right, can someone explain to me why one of the DIN slots in the Japanese Double-DIN bracket is smaller than the other one?? More importantly, how do I get a DIN-sized unit into it?

have you 2 single DIN headunits to go in to it?

I had a single DIN and a spacer thing with a pocket in it and I had to get the dremmel to the spacer to make it fit.

You may well have issues with fitting 2 DIN units.

I have a butchered console without the lip where the DIN bracket sits. I'll try to dig it out if i can - it may be some use to you.

Yeah, Mark, it's two single DIN headunits (one's the radio/disc player, the other is the screen). I thought I may be able to cut the lip off, and get it to fit that way.

Don't go cutting anything just yet - double din consoles are hard enough to come by without doing a hatchet job on one!

I'll be down to the house this weekend so if you sit tight I'll see if I have the butchered one - it looks fine, but the lip has been completley cut out of it so my own stereo wouldn't sit in it properly.

Come to think of it. I can't remember where it came from and it's never been in the car, but I'm sure I have one...
