Well lads. Bit of an update here.
Paul had 2 gearboxs for me. One was supposed to be rebuilt and one had an lsd. The plan was to use the lsd box, and transplant the new syncros from one box to another. Unfortunlately, the box he had, wasnt rebuilt, it was actually worse than his own. The casing on the inside was like a models spray tan gone wrong. Very brown in colour. His lsd box was extremely well minded. Very clean, with regular oil changes, but with the expected wear on syncros. This is his own box. His 2nd box Notice the difference in colour. Also, notice the difference in the final drives. Theres 12 bolts on the lsd, and 10 on the open diff. Unfortunately the best thing I could do, was clean the magnet. This is a carpenters oil stone I use, to clean houseings before I put sealer on. Its a very flat stone, that puts a nice flat finish, to insure a good seal. I'm gona stick up another thread, and gona try and explain what wears on syncros, and what needs replacing. I'l add link later.

Thats a good idea James. Never taught to take pics while it was apart. Its altogether again, and I've no lsd diffs out. Would an ordinary diff, be of any interest to ye for now. Random pic of shed last night. 3 cars in comfortably now, after a bit of a tidyup.

Bit off an update for ya Paul.
A pic before. I started organising the engine bay. And a bit better. Brake lines, power steering, and most of unnecessary wires.

I removed all the abs lines. I only started working on it, after I called ya. The good news is, the there's lots more wiring to disappear.
Power steering pressure switch, map sensor, etc. It won't be a wire tuck, but it will be tidy.
