Ready to put engine back in now.
Sorry about delay Paul. Got a bit held up with brake downs, and a family issue.
Have loads a pics on phone. Might try sticking them up now.
Did you order them traction bars?

Itr intake mani with larger injectors fitted.
I try to run the wires under the fuel rail, as its a lot harder to see the dirty things then.
Distributor wiring is converted to OBD1.

I'll double check it. I reckon its okay. It's due to the timing gears adjusted towards each other, I reckon.
But, I'll check it again for ya.
I'm even looking forward to hearing it run. lol.

Sweet - I'm even getting excited by this!!!

Yeah, loose belt is never good - I found that out the hard way with 4 bent valves!!

Coming along nicely. Great work Gary.

Yea Gary the tensioner may have been loosened I cant remember but the though of slipping the belt is giving me nightmares the closer this comes to running[:I]

And did I tell you about the cam specs? The lift is nothing insane really but there is way longer duration that apparently benifits from a high revvingf engine Can find a reccommended rev limit to run them to but this should become apparent on a RR I presume

And yea Ronan you need one again!!!

Ya didn't tell me that, bit I did notice. Was expecting a bit more eye candy when I removed rocker cover. But I'd it figured out. The primary lobes have identical lift and duration, where the vtec lobe has very little more lift, but substantial duration.

The primary and secondary lobe are different lifts and durations on stock cams. The purpose of this, is economy, one valve is open more, and this creates a swirl effect. This allows for leaner burns.

See, one time, Car manufacture's designed engines with fuel economy in mind. Vtec was really intended for this purpose originally.
Then someone discovered that richer mixtures produced less emissions.
So now EU regulations require lower emissions over fuel economy. This is why Na engines are becoming a thing of the past, and turbos are taking over.
