Yea man motivation is the main thing.. I was happy all week doing this so it wasnt bad at all.. Its some pain in the hole if you have to force yourself to do it though[V]

I've been planning on doing mine for the last few weeks but anytime i'm going to make a start someone comes looking for work done!

Deadline is the donegal rally but want her done as soon as i can!

Well got the head and block stripped appart today.. Had one little surprise that explained a misfire it had before.. Pics up soon

Well heres todays summary :lol:

Went out and the head off and most of the sensors etc off the block and head..

Before I finished up driving it there was a misfire under heavy acceleration I assumed it was plugs/distributor or something but I think this answered my problem

Denso Iridium IK20 with alot of milage on it and half an electrode

ops:
This was in cylinder 3 but theres no damage at all to the cylinder/head/valves so assuming it just blew out the valves.. This too was EXTREMELY tight to get out, felt like it was going to sheer the whole way out but with alot of WD40 and taking it slowly it came out without any thread damage or anything 8)

And heres just a quick pick of the valves/pistons with a fair bit of build up of carbon on them, cant wait for new shiney ones to go in there

Out of focus sedan sneaking in there too :roll:

So thats it for today gonna order Buddy Club Valves/Springs and retainers and ARP head bolts too to have it ready for power at a later stage

Savage Project Paul - it'll be in the top 3 CR-Xs in Ireland when it's finished anyway.
