Well finally made it to the dyno with mixed results..

Went up last friday to TTM in Tullamore where I met Trevor (whos mapping the car for me on the obd1 chrome ECU)

Here it was the day before getting some final checks

Met at 10am and after getting the base map cleaned up a bit went out on the M8 for some road mapping..
Once we had a smooth drive setup we went on the dyno after lunch for fine tuning..

The car did feel better but once it came on vtec there seemed to be a hesitation this we though could have been ironed out but its here results came back a little odd..

Basically after many runs on the NON Vtec cam lobe we achieved 150whp @7200rpm witch is very impressive to say the least...

Now that seems like a long time before vtec but we could not make power below this so it was necessary.
Then after tuning the most Trevor could get was 159whp @7850rpm..

So basically the car was doing nothing on vtec this was due to a few factors mainly my exhaust wasnt up to the task, intake was far to restrictive and insane intake temps taking hot air from the back of the rad..

So we removed the airbox and RSR back box and done two power runs with just a rise in fuel we instantly saw a massive difference.. 178whp!!
Thats almost 20whp by just doing that!!

SO the plan now is a 2.5" RMF 4-1 replica race header (one of the best manifolds out there with proven gains on dyno shoot outs), custom stainless 2.5" straight exhaust (zerofighter style) for drag racing and a Blox Velocity stack and filter with custom piping heat proofing, cold air feed and box

Will up date as I get bits so far I picked up the Blox stack and filter:

Heres a random run aswell wasnt even on vtec here I think but ye get the idea:

Notice the quiet exhaust!!

Fook, that's a sweet sweet figure. That's approx 209BHP (178WHP) from a 1.6 NA Engine. I'd be VERY proud of that figure. Well done Paul.
