Woo Hoo

Back together-ish
Got some money over Christmas so went out and bought Torque Wrench since I didnt want to risk having more broken parts rattleing around the sump..

Heres the one I got in Halfords 8-60nm does most light engine torques and had a 40-200nm one already

So made up a new oil pick up gasket (OEM Honda ones are discontinnued) and fitted the good pickup
Replaced missing nuts off the baffle/scatter plate (seem to have been just left off it?)
Put a light layer of gasket sealer on the sump and block and fitted the new OEM Gasket sump on
New Honda Oil filter and 10w40 oil
RMF Manifold fitted and torqued up with proper nuts as I was missing some off it
Crossmember and front gearbox mount fitted (with loads of clearence now)

Got to start the car quick this evening and fired up grand
I will need to loosen the cross member to allow the rad sit in right (would be what I expected after hearing reports about Tegiwa fitment)
And another major problem is ground clearence on flat ground there is only 1.5" of ground clearence at the bottom of the manifold so will be raising it at least 2" before I go anywhere

Still almost back together now and have been talking to the fella Ill be getting to make up the exhaust and should be good to go in 2weeks

Pics tomorrow cause I was battleing gale force winds at 7pm this evening trying to get it all back together

Ah yes, the old ground clearance vs looks problem! I was having huge problems with the lower sump in the B18 hitting everything. They were laughing at me in the garage when they were raising it up, but I'm driving it much more now and enjoying it. Dare I say it, it's more comfortable too...[8)]

You'd to smoke 40 Ciggies to find that out!!

Christ Lad, that needs attention alright. I remember at a meet in Dublin a few years ago the crossmember of my Grey CR-X used bottom out on the city speed bumps so I can only imagine what'd happen on the roads outside your gaff.

After doing an initial test fit of the Tegiwa rad I was pretty hap that it was ready to fit. I wasnt!
had the crossmember and all bolted up and only then realised once the bottom hose was fitted the rad couldnt sit right

So out with the hammer and "modified" the crossmember ruining the fresh paint[:I]

Quick paint on the spot though and the rad can now fit!

Also raising the front coilovers, raised the spring seat 20mm and going to refit the brake hose clamp collor so should be up about 2" higher then

Also getting a spare siR boot door ready for fitting the Seibon Spoiler..

This came in on Ronans CRX (now Stephen Ks) it had the wiper and spoiler off but only tape over the holes so got Chris Type R to weld up the holes:

For some reason the wiring was out of the boot door but I had it in my attic so before refitting it I removed the wiper wiring a plug off it:

Removed the really sh!te tint off it and found 3 hearer strips had been cut by a bad tint job and the connector broken off so after many attempts trying to fit the original connector I just settled for this wire and crimp combo that is holding on well at least!

Got to try get the conductive repair glue for the strips now and ready to send it to chris for bonding the spoiler and painting the boot door black again
