They we're even too low on their highest setting, so had to wind the spring a little on the front, wich I don't like doing. They're also on their softest of all of the settings, and there's a good range. I might email the supplier Jerrick in the UK and ask, (I was on to him before and he was a bit stumped) but I think I've tried everything with these. They're not too bad, others think they're fine, but I'm old and grumpy and I'm absolutely surrounded by speedbumps and have a slope in my driveway. It's taking the good out of driving it, and I don't want that....

A million awesome points for anyone who can tell what this JDM fitted option next to the gearstick is. All I know is it adds at least ten horsepower, and that if you lick it like a battery, nothing happens.....

It is indeed a JDM business card holder. Gives 5 extra hp. Would take it out, but it'll leave a mark and it's really addictive to fiddle with when driving along.

I had a go at the a/c repair panel yesterday, as it was a job I could do in the rain. Wasn't too hard, but very fiddly.

My panel wasn't too bad to start with, but was cracked and wasn't getting any better. Things like this that I have to look at every day drive me mad!

Here's how I started

After taking the cover off, I just moved the radio down and hung it out of the way, instead of disconnecting everything.

The hardest part was getting to the connections at the rear with your fingers to disconnect them, particularly the flexi black pipe on the right hand side rear. This is the same pipe that makes it hard to replace back in the dash. It's fiddly to get the unit out, having to push it back and bend the front down, I probably broke mine more getting it out of the dash than it already was.....!

I put a fair bit of super glue on the unit itself before adding the cover, in the usual places where it cracks, figured it couldn't hurt.

I then used a small bit of a better adhesive as well as the sticky rear on the panel itself.

Not sure if it's the same on the UK cars, but since the panel is made for the UK or US controls with the larger dial, the plate doesn't quite cover the whole flip/control thingy of the JDM cars. It's very close, but I was a little disappointed when applying it.

Then we were all good, I just whacked it back in. Be careful not to scrape the new cover putting it back in the dash. I personally didn't wait for it to dry.
1. I'm lazy and impatient.
2. I figured the bolts holding it will add enough pressure to stick it nicely.

Here's what I ended up with. I'm pretty happy with it, didn't cost much, just a fiddly job. One more thing off the list!

The engine is not falling out of my CRX, nor is it rusting away, so it's the little things about everyday driving that drive me mental. The Integra Type R wheel cannot be fitted keeping the stock indicator cancelling, and sits too far out from the dash cowling. Sounds like nothing, probably wouldn't bother some, but annoyed me every time I got in the car. There's nothing difinitive online about a fix, some have tried an NRG short hub, re-drilled to match their wheel, others have just lived with it. I had a look and broke out the dremel. The proud part at the back of the wheel is what stops it sitting flush on the CRX spindle and doesn't seem necessary.

I didn't get a pic at the very beginning, but two mins in the back of the wheel looks like this:

I started grinding away:

You eventually get to here:

And then here:

Fits perfectly back in the car, and the gap behind the wheel is gone!

Best of all, i don't have to be constantly thinking about the indicators every time I turn the wheel.....Only a little thing, but I'm delighted after it.

No, but these little things would make me want to get in it more. Using it a bit more regularly now. I have a list of seals I'm trying to find, normal things like door seals and window and such... Honda here is out of stock of most. They're the only things delaying a respray to finish the car really.....
