Had a good look around the crank today
Looks like there is a washer missing at the back of the bottom timing belt pully, this allowed the whole setup sit about 1mm in so when I tightened the crank bolt it didn't fully squeeze up the crank pully so the whole lot of the tension was put on the woodruff key which eventually broke away. Fitted one off a spare engine and running good again now, till next problem ha

Well looks like Ill get away with the crank for another while now anyway that the bolt is squeezing up the pully right now
Car is pulling great now just have to sort the exhaust and remap and should be well able to move at last

Today I raised up the rear coilovers 30mm more (50mm up on where they were before)

The car now doesnt ground out and is sitting level.. Not as nice looking but handleing has greatly imporoved too

luckily for us the crx doesnt need to be lowered too much to still look cool compared with other 'normal' cars

Yea I said it to the girlfriend to take a look at the crx since I raised it up, she just turned and sounded surprised saying That's raised up?

Still looks good but I would like it a little lower

Gave the car a quick polish sunday only to be greeted by it covered in snow the next morning:

Soon after I got a call from Richie in www.allstainlessexhausts.com said if I could get the car down to him he could do the spoon N1 onto it this week.. So packed it up and drove down to Kanturk (trouble free drive thankfully) and now just waiting on the call back to collect it, should have it by the weekend. CANT WAIT!!

Here it is at his place

Its back and its really really loud!!

Richie had the exhaust ready to go 2days after dropping it down but he wasnt happy with the design of the manifold so offered to re do the 4-1 section.. Since the crossmember would have to come off I said I call down and do it and all he would have to do is weld it..

So myself and Stephan K went down done the whole lot and bolted it back up but wouldnt start, the ignition lights wouldnt turn off even with the key out, the fuel pump wouldnt prime, and the windows and lights wouldnt work.. We checked and double checked every plug, connection an sensor but couldnt start it so trailered it home..

Turns out when we dropped the crossmember we pulled an earth so was just a bad connection, I fitted a Buddy Club Race Spec Condensor whict earts the main points and the car is going perfect again..
Gonna be taxing it Friday so it will be back on the road for a few months

Heres the only picture I got of the exhaust will get a few of it fitted the weekend
