My god a lot has gone on since I was last on the thread a black SiR came into work today .... You have been busy. Pity about the engines it's looked like a complete let down from square 1. Have said to myself i'm going to get to mondello with something this year for sure. excuse the ignorance but wouldn't sticking a b18 in there be easier or is that sacrilege.

Ive neglected this thread for far too long partially because of Photobucket's hosting issues and having limited enough interest in the CRX over a few years.

Anyway I fully stripped back the car after the last trackday and got it fully resprayed inside and out with Chris (Chris Type R on here with the green siR) and glad to find no rust issues at all on it.. It sat then for almost 3years in my shed as a bare shell in perfect paint..

Finally got back at it early last year and in a few weeks got it back from a bare shell to drive it to my wedding with the help of some friends and lots of hours ripping and tearing it..

Its first day back on the road after almost 5years just in time

Heres a couple of pics from a car meet during the summer one of the few outings it had

Here it is as it sits now in out of the elements again and hopefully out again for the summer and make it more driver friendly again

I must gather up all the pictures from the respray/rebuild and get them all uploaded in the next few days and hopefully make out a decent plan of action for it in the coming months including engine rebuild and some gearbox and clutch changes

Its handy but scary what Google remembers

The CR-X hasnt moved much really in the last few months but thats not to say it still isnt costing me money, got a Carcoon so it doesnt get damaged or detoriate while in storage after all the work.. Its an extra small and a really nice fit for the CR-X and not loosing any extra floor space really. Constant filtered air circulation through it and trickle charger to keep the drycell battery charged all included

Took it out last week for a quick spin and proper wash since it was just put in quick and not properly cleaned a few months ago.

Its back in the shed now but NCT is due again in July so will probably take it out and tax it for 3 months then and hopefully we get to have some meet up in August/September

I bought it directly off Carcoon in the UK, its the Veloce model which has the internal frame so easy to drive in and out of quickly. I ordered it and had it within a week it was around €650 delivered but definitely worth it for piece of mind and save the car from birdshite and moisture.
Call down if you want to check it out anytime

If you have a little more space, one of the lads is selling a small one unused in Limerick, it was too small for his car and took up a bit more space than I was willing to give up in my shed. Its about a foot wider and longer than the extra small so still not huge and youll get a bit more space around the car he was looking around €600 for it its in red
