What I meant was if you were in an accident and it turned out that it was a failed weld that contributed (either on the fabbed mounts or the gear linkages) to the accident would it be better if the insurance were informed that they were on the car? And if they were informed would it add much more to the price or would it stay the same... I donno how it works when you declare a mod...

I suppose a repair would only come into question if it was done poorly and contributed to an accident.

Well, I pretty certain, that my weld, will be the last thing to break, but I appreciate the concern, and don't take me up as been cocky.

My occupation is a welder and I pretty confident that its stronger than stock as everything is only spot welded on stock. I've combined both.

The gearlinkages have solid round iron fitted inside the tubes I cut to insure a thorough joint.

No, I'm not questioning your abilities at all. From looking at your rear engine crx Ive no doubt in my mind that you are well capable of welding anything you put your mind to.

My question was purely on insurance, declaring mods and the price increase for doing so. I just used your car as an example I did not mean to offend. Ive always been interested in doing an engine swap someday and was just wondering about declaring stuff like that...

A ya, I'm not offended man. I understand your concern.

But one thing I'm not is an insurance broker or company. LOL.

I got ta say it somewhere though. I recently converted a civic to B18 for a lad. He called up recently, to show me what he'd done to the car since.
Something like superlights on it, with crasy offset, and a 20degree camber on the back.
Honestly, about the same amount of rubber touching the road as a bicycle wheel. Now this is a part of car culture that needs to stop, in terms of safety.

Very happy with the exhaust. Its quiet like. Its gona be mostly a daily driver this car, which will suit her ears like.
Buts its got a really good punch, when it needs it.

I was looking forward to seeing the rev counter go of the clock. Lol

Sweet, a set of siR clocks now to finish her off.

I had a look for those Foldies too and realised that I sold them on US eBay last year along with the OE steering wheel!! I completely forgot I sold them until I looged into my eBay account and looked through it.

I have a Skunk2 VTEC solenoid cap if that's any good to you (for large solenoid)!
