I've tried several places for quotes but 123.ie was the cheapest and at that its still dear!!!

Hate all this shitee about if its a jap import aswel it must be 1,000 bhp so therefore we'l up your insurance.Same when got a windscreen before;

person:We've got a UK windscreen in.is it a UK car?
dad:no its a jap import
personhh,well i'm afraid you'l have to wait a week or so to get that so as it has to be shipped over and it'l probably cost a bit more.
dad:ah why not use the UK one?
person:they are not the same
dadh im pretty sure they are
person:why do ya think that?
dad:Oh because there is UK CRX outside to,so I think we'l go with the UK one

What do ya know it turned out it fitted!

anyway finished rant,back on topic.

jesus, its looking like i might have to go down the named driver route! can't get a quote anywhere on my own.. i had an argument with a one on the phone from quinn direct. she tried to tell me 1.5 jap import was 130hp-135hp standard. i actually think i muttered i wish! that mightn't have helped my case! ha. i got a quote for a 1.5 ef civic and your one wouldn't listen to me when i was trying to tell her it has the same engine as the cr-x.. insurance companys are clueless!

doubtful...there insurance is very low due to loads of competitors in the business.More competitors the lower the prices will be.

they were useless when i was insuring that car too, she was like are you sure its not a civic, i said i was fairly positive yes, she said ok i'll make a note on your account saying its a crx and not a civic. [?] It said crx on the cert i got and civic crx on another. Then again my eg and ek hatches both ended up insured as saloons, once you say its jap it all goes haywire
