my 1.5x Mugens and metal polishing 10-9-10

Busy morning:

Re-routed accelerator cable to where it should be, removed rocker cover and torqued up rocker assembly bolts correctly. Bled air from radiator. New bolts for exhaust shroud. Removed hot air deflector from carbs (as per Daz's 1.5x tuning guide). Will be shortening springs inside carbs themselves later, just have some wd40 on the screws.

Checked a few other bits i did recently. Dizzy is no longer seeping oil, Spark plugs are no longer covered in oil and fan switch which i rewired is working fine

Today i replaced some of the fuel lines, including my DIY ones with proper braided stuff. 4euro per metre of hose.

bit the bullet finally, car is now in bodyshop to repair the quater panel, and possibly door and wings fingers crossed i dont get stevie wonder spraying my car

edit: called back down today with the 2 wings i got off stan. Spent an hour stripping door cards, bump strips, bumper and wings. The guy is letting me off a fair bit if i do these bits myself.

possibly would feel bad taking money off you but kinda need to recoup the expense. They cost me 111euro brand new and where barely on the car half the time, whereas the new ones cost me more like 130euro.

Any picture of the rusty panel? did they just fill it or cut the rust out and weld in a new piece?

i have photos in my photobucket. He didnt weld in new metal, just filled. The rust was on the outside surface luckily. Usually the quater panel rot on our crxs is caused by leaky sunroof drain tubes. My rust was by accident damage. I bought a Hadrians panel if your looking for one that wasnt needed in the end.
