Story is now the bearing furthest away from the oil pump was non existent, would that be no1? Engine is full of swarf and fooked. Mechanics claim the oil pump must have shiteee itself and she dropped pressure. I asked is there anyway to check to make sure and was told no cos its full of swarf/filings now anyway. Think my handiest option now is to just buy an engine and put it in. Sickened is putting it mildly. Have to wait for the funds to accumulate now before i can get an engine.
Sweet Pm'd
A rebuilt engine should not fail. They should stand by that engine for you.
I may have warned ya already, earlier in this thread.
I've no respect for BMW. There cocky little mechanics, and highly unreliable machines. I've have more confidence in a lada garage rebuilding an engine.

I hope they cover your cost and it works out for ya. I have a bottom end of a B16, but needs a head fitted.
I'll assemble it if your interested.

Left the engine out to the mechanics to refit it last night, gave them a bit of a talkin to about the attempt they made at building the previous engine but i dunno if i was wasting my breath or not. Hoping to have it back by Sunday fingers crossed.

Finally got this yoke back this evenin, happy enough now with it. She seems a touch smoky but id say that might be down to timing. Maybe Gary would be so kind as to ecudate me once more on how and what way to set the timing properly for it?!

I lost your number Kev. Give me a call sometime.
Doesn't make a lot of since that code 14, if you think the car is driving okay.
