SiR Cams

Are all the gen 2 SiR DOHC engines? Or are there some SOHC engines lurking around in Japan?
I want to make sure I get the real twin cam[8D]

I think i read on crx-uk somewhere that yes, ya can also get SOHC SiR's but there not very common so i doubt you'll get one

Yes they are, Gen 3 Del Sols and civic had a 1.5 and 1.6 SOHC VTEC engines, 120 and 130ish bhp, 2nd Gen were only the proper 170hp DOHC.

Mark you sure thats not 160

I thought it was the sol sir that has 170, gen2 sir = 160 and gen2 vt = 150 (tuned for 95 ron as oppose to 97 like the gen2 sir hence 10 diff)

As for sohc gen2 only the 1.5 is, sol got 1.6 sohc vtec too as mark said.

The US Mark 2 Si was SOHC, IIRC...open to correction, though.

Yeah the SiR is 160. The B16C in the CTR was 170 BHP. I believe the main difference is the cam's and they can be swapped in if 160 ain't enough for ya.
