Default Some TLC

Hello all, its been a while!

Finally going to get the crx some TLC from Gary off here whenever I get a chance to get the car ready to go over.

Just a quick question, I was on micksgarage very briefly the last evening to buy a few things for the 1.5x but not really sure anymore which is compatible as its mainly 16v/vtec stuff on there (and yes my crx knowledge has near completely gone as I haven't thought about them in probably over 2 years now).

I don't really have much time with work and what not anymore to even do some proper research, find the right parts or even call into a car shop. So I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for the following parts that will be fine on the 1.5x which can be bought online (as all car parts places are closed when I finish work). I'm after;

Oil Filter -
Fuel Filter -
Front/Rear Wipers -
Brake Pads -
Air Filter -
Wind deflectors for folding mirrors -

That's just some things for now, there'l prob be more. Don't slate me for my lack of knowledge anymore or the fact that im currently driving a Peugout 307 I am trying to get the crx back in business again...

All oil filers are the same in petrol Hondas. If ya want I can suppl a hamp one.
Fuel filter will be the same as a 1.3 94 Honda civic. Much easier to determine that in auto factor.
Wipers are the same on all crxs.
Brake pads are a bit iffy. I have several sets and can organize them. Usually involves taking them out and bringing directly to motorfactors. Just to many generations of pads to keep up with.
Air filter could be Honda. Motor factors may stock generic ones. You'd have to call them or me.

I'll let Paul answer the wind deflector one. Maybe Ebay

Wind deflectors for folding mirrors are harder to get than non-folding, though apparently the non-folding deflectors will fit. Think there were pics of them fitted on CRX-UK.

BTW, Gary, what do you charge for Hamp filters?

Jesus looking back at my post, very amateur questions them, amazing how much ya forget over time to.

Gary, if your happy to get parts here and there when ya can such as the pads etc... then that might be best? Was just trying to get everything together before I sent it over to ya to make things easier for you, finding it hard to get much time to get anything though. I may also need you to transport it to yours as I sat in it the last day and it doesn't seem to want to start and just no time to even look at what might be up.

There'l be no rush for it back until everything will be sorted with it and back to the way it should be!

If anyone can confirm the non-folding ones would would without and modification that would be great. I'd rather get the proper ones though he there has to be some modification done to it.

@james - thanks for the welcome back, I see your leaving the fold though? I have been lurking here and there from time to time, but just never had the time to post anymore.

There about 12 euro. I get them of Trever in red power.
Name a date Richard and I'll collect it. Preferably sat or Sundays. Or nights

haha this thread made me laugh!

I happen to know where there are some folding honda access wind deflectors...and I know where they will stay also

As for where you'd get some now, I saw some on ebay a few days ago but they ain't cheap, is it just me or has all the honda access stuff gone even higher, I thought the jdm phase was dying out? I'll keep a look out anyway.

A lot of autofactor generic parts for the crx should be covered in that post I made years ago in one of the sections here, anything I ever ordered for the 1.5 off that always worked, calbro always had them. You haven't done many miles on it since I changed the fuel filter so that really should be fine, cheap part to change out though in any case. I changed the pads and shoes too, so just check it actually needs them replaced, not sure on mileage since I did them.

Is the auld fella too busy messing with my civic still!

@Paul: The yank brother is too busy building kansas' first k20 crx []

I wish...tipping away with it here actually will have it out again tomorrow for a spin. I've done less than 1000 miles on it in the last year. I have put 55k on the Outback!

As for the gunmetal one, I'd love to have that fixed up again, dunno when that will happen though now.
