Front springs - readily available
I hope there's someone still on here, and that the forum hasn't gone the way of most of the cars themselves! I did hte NCT last week and failed on a broken front spring. Are these easy enough to get and what sort of price are they (looking to replace both as per recommendations to get a matched pair)?
Maybe it's time I fitted those TEIN coillovers...

Have you tein coilovers? Fit them!!!

Post would be better, as I can't hang about with the retest too long. I'll cover the postage.
I don't suppose you have a spare driver's side sidelight that isn't cracked or leaking for a VTEC as well, do you?

Are your springs standard? If so you'll just need one really.
I don't have spare sidelights but there is a fella on adverts with a pair for sale in Swords

Springs are standard at the moment, yep. Keep hearing it's a good idea to change both springs if you're doing it, but I suppose one would do.

While we're on the subject, the car has developed another issue
Basically, it is idling high and then hunting while cold. There seems to be a problem with the temperature as well though, as it comes up to temperature more quickly than normal but the heater is still cold. At one point it did start to go slightly over normal temperature (heater still cold) but then the heat kicked in and it settled down and was OK. I'm wondering did something happen during the NCT as I've heard they rev the bejesus out of the cars at times, probably not good for an any car, let alone an older one. Anyone come across these sort of symptoms before, could it be idle valve or thermostat or something else?
