Default Gaskets(dont know the name )

I have a 1989 honda crx si and i have to replace a gasket wich is located on the side by the belt and altenator well i dont know what that gasket is called so if any 1 can tell me that would help a lot thanks

Try take some photos and show them to the dealer or motor factor and they shud have an idea..

Oh, I should say that it's the UK 16V manual - the Si should be 95% identical

i got a haynes manual for the 87-89 model if its anygood to anyone in findin part numbers etc

Why am i thinking rocker cover gasket and spark plug holes full of engine oil

Show us a pic and well figure it out,

The Gasket is on the side of the Motor by the Crank shaft gear and there is a plastic peace that you have to take off to get gasket out.

Is it the timing belt cover? only plastic bit i can think of that side. Do you have an oil leak or are you just missing a dust shield somewhere?

i have a bad oil leak but the car has been seatin for 3years so ....... but when i checked the oil it seems like there is alot of oil, almost to much.

If the car has been sitting for 3 years you should change the oil before driving it.

Are you sure it's leaking oil - could it be brake fluid or coolant??
