Default My 1.5x Project

I bought a 1.5x CRX around 2 months ago, must be said the car is in excellent condition due to it being owned my a body shop here.

As with any car you but there are always a few hidden problems that you encounter that you only realise are there after you have owned the car for a while.

Here's a few pics of the car complete with Jap service history and books.

When i first got it, the car had not been serviced so I got the tools out and did that and is NOW running 110%.

I then discovered that my CRX was leaving in water, both in the front and in the boot.

The leak in the front was coming through a small pin hole where the cold air pipe for the vents in the car meets the firewall. This job involved me removing all the seats, dash and carpet in order to dry it out and to access the area where the pipe met the bulk head. A small bit of sealant and it is now perfect.

The leak in the boot was caused by the rear light seals being dried out and dirty and was leaving in small amount of water every time I washed the car. took out the seals, washed them and covered them in Vaseline and that solved that problem.

The boot door rubber seal also has to be replaced which is costing €100 + VAT from Honda. Should have it in 2 weeks and then my little CRX should be water tight once again.

Next on the list was a vibration through the steering wheel, after closer inspection it turns out that the track rod end on the passenger side is the culprit for the vibration.
I ordered two new track rod ends, one for each side so that should solve that problem

I'm unsure what I am going to do next to it but i'll be sure to keep every one updated[^]

Recently built onto our garage at home, this is going to be used to house my civic and CRX. Only have the CRX in there at the mo.
Just a few pics of how she stands tonight.

A mate had a civic with a similar colour and it looked class i the sun. Have a project at the moment and was goin to go for gtr skyline purple but would rather stay with an original colour.
