Fiber Images CF Hoods
Just a thought this as im interested in one.
From Here: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1651886&page=1 $475 for Hood I asked for shipping on one and batch of five 1 Hood - $220 5 Hoods - $375 or $75 per hood. So thats $550 per hood and then you have customs/duty. Not sure what that is exact but i think if you say 1/3 of the total it is a good estimate for now, when they come in we'd have the exact figure anyway, not like i aim to have any profit on this, its enough saving for me with the bulk shipping. So thats about about $730 for the hood or €570/£390 which is not too bad for the type of hood we are talking about here. Any of ye lads have any interest in one.

What happaned to the group buy on CRX-UK, vokowheels.com (from up north, belfast i think)) was organising it. He was asking 500 sterling for a pure carbon fibre hood i think.

Dunno havent heard much about it since.
As far as being all CF they cant be, think there is a foam material being sandwiched in the centre section, same with a thin FG in these Fiber Images ones. Its just to bring up the thickness as if it were pure CF used it would be mega money to get the thickness of the bonnet. It is one structural layer of carbon, hollow layer filled with Foam/FG and then another structural layer of Carbon. No webbing in these with these either and on th FI site there are demostrations of strength, see nominous on crx uk's avatar. You can do that with them as with the old Billb bonnets. £390 as to £500

The guys in www.icetronix.com are doing a special on crx bonnets that they have give them a call ask fir Steve and say Gene sent you from the forum. Its worth it as they are very good value. The guys will give you the run down on them. Good shopping!!

I'll give a ring but my moneys on them being for the 16v only as the one on their web is and it is difficult to get vt bonnets

i was ment to be getting one off BillB but it doesnt look like he will be doing them again anytime soon. If i can get the cash off him for the J1 box then ill be up for getting one too!
