Dualcarb engine conversion
Bought another crx on Saturday, its a 92 dualcarb. I plan on puttin a B16 into it, I know where there's a vti del sol within a mile of me that can be got for handy money. Would it be a straight forward swap apart from the engine mounts? Would there be issues with wiring looms etc?

Take it from me having done it ( B18 ) it's a real ball ache , its doable but unless you have a really good reason to start with the 1.5 it makes no sense .

Would it be equally as much hassle puttin the full runnin gear out of my other crx into it? Its a very clean shell is all. What major obstacles would I come across convertin to vtec without using my vt as a donor? Im not afraid of hard work and would like to think im fairly capable.

The hubs and breaking system along with drive shafts will all have to be changed. There is a lot to do mate I would do some research before starting just so you don't run out of funds half way through. The wiring will also have to be changed. But its true dual carbs tend to have tiddy shells

If you are willing to swap everything from your iVT its not as bad. you will have to swap practically everything over but the only major differences will be the engine mounts.

ill leave it to others more mechanically minded to fill you in , but iirc you will need to swap speedo clocks and fuel tank too .

I knew id need to swap the tank and lines for injection ones. I may try an get some parts from a vt breakin somewher save me pullin my own apart just yet. Loom, lines, clocks etc.

Yea complete loom swap will probably be easier run the entire iVT heating setup too as the AC wiring will be different
