Said its about time I do this. I've never really been into putting up build threads or anything so don't have much detailed pictures of how the car progressed. But now that I'm asking ye to do it I'll have to put up one myself. I've a few plans for it over the next few weeks so I'll try document them as best I can

heres the story so far:

I originally brought the cr-x with a snapped timing belt back in August 2010. at the time my mechanically knowledge wasn't to great so i left it into Eoin Mc at MCC Garage for a bit of head work and replace a few valves

1st thing i did was put on a J's Racing rep lip had in the garage and removed the ebay yellow fogs

It was only after the 1st time i brought it to tullow i realised shite, my car is actually nippy enough compared to other B16's!

Next i sold the O.Z's and hit tullow again with a set of r888's. It was only then i was brave enough to start racing a few B18's.. :vtec:

I then brought a set of 15x7 Enkei CPSII's. I also got Inspector01 to re-map my ecu. That same day there was a big meet on in dundrum so i killed two birds with one stone

Random picture with my other 1.5 crx. The siR was actually parked up that time because i had hit a pothole and burst the seals in the power steering rack. I replaced it with a NON-power steering rack out of an English cr-x i-vt. The i-vt rack uses the same quicker ratio's as the siR but its not power assisted

Next up I brought the dry carbon single skin bonnet. Its very very light

Then it was time to go drag racing and get some times. I've no proper recollection of the timeline i done power mods because i have no pictures. but by now the cr-x had a full custom 2.5'' straight thru exhaust.. a cold air feed from the bumper up to a custom intake set-up consisting of a modified oem airbox w/ K&N filter and a 3'' heatwrapped steel pipe up to the the throttle body. it had an ITR throttle body bolted onto the standard b16a intake manifold. it goes without saying the inlet of the manifold was bored out to suit the ITR tb! It was also treated to a set of Spoon Sports HT plug leads.. i also had a B18c 5zigen exhaust manifold on hire from mister eoin mc till i could find a good enough exhaust manifold myself!

With all these new mods it mean't another trip to Inspector for another road map

I was very proud of the cr-x in B.C that day

(just reminded from those pictures. I also fitted a genuine bride fix back and a 6 point D2 harness. I would have had my Spoon Sports front and rear strut braces fitting at this stage too)

Random spin up molls gap with herself........ i brought the girlfriend too :P

Pictures from a few meets in the meantime

mister brian o'keeffe!

I've yet to mention any of the grief the cr-x has given me through out my ownership.. such as distributors deciding shite themselfs randomly in toll booths on the way to enniskillen

i still managed to make it up to enniskillen that day. despite the rain on the day being a big let down i manage to win the 14.30 class

Before this I done abit of maintenance and mechanical work. once again i've no pictures  but anyway, I brought a Y1 lsd cable box, a new F1 racing stage 3 clutch and an F1 racing 4.4kg flywheel.. she was leaking alot of oil too so it got a new sump gasket, crank seal and vtec solenoid seal

After over a year of ownership i finally fitted the oem stanley fog lights from my 1.5 crx

i then decided i'd give abit of track racing a go. so i signed up for the 15 minute track slot at japfest... i was hooked after that!! :vtec:

I fitted a set of Carbon Lorraine RC5 front pad's before japfest. There possible the best modification i've done to date!!

another meet in the mean time.

Before i done a few more full trackdays!

couldn't justify wasting money on r888's anymore on the road so i tried out these instead for road tyres... i was very impressed by them

i then managed to locate and buy a Spoon Sports ef8/ef9 cluster... and picked up a personal steering wheel

refuelling after late night out gallivanting in limerick

i just like this picture so i'm putting it up too!
