Default Types of standard bumpers?

Just wondering if there is a difference in the jap CRX bumpers?
What way have the fog light holes changed, are they different shape fogs on the different years/models?[?]

What sort of bumper extensions are there available on the standard vtecs?[?]

Aint no fog holes on my 89 si, and the later si has the vtec front. The rub strips are also wider on the older models.

As for extensions, never really looked into them.

On that, does anyone know if these are interchangeable, or will the be a gap.

Some info here,

http://www.cr-x.org/home/differences/exterior.html

As far as i know all vtecs have the same bumper, and so do 1990 onwards 1.5x and Si models. Its the older front ends that were different between years and markets.

The front lip is a bolt on, so you can attach it to your bumper if you do not have one. There is also an extension lip for the rear bumper but its really rare, only ever seen two cars with them fitted.

@Cycl, you have to change headlights, sidelights, bumper, and cross member if you want to fit the later front end. The early front end is much nicer so you would be mad to change it. Vtec models got the higher bonnet as the Vtec engine is a few inches taller. Later 1.5 & Si models got the same front end for cost reasons i assume, cheaper to keep them all the same.

Mark.

No i was just on about the rub strips, found out on crx uk though.

Why would you have to change the x-member, thinks its just the slam panel fot the bonnet latch, think you can use washers too, to bring the 16v one forward a bit.

Dont like the bumper with no air vents at the bottom, the nicest of all bumpers is the late spec uk 16v. Has the vtec fake vents at the bottom

I might try getting a lip kit somewhere for mine so, not really into any of the bumpers available out there..

Why Im asking bout the bumper is cause I got original fogs for mine but they dont really seem to suit the front, does the bumper require much cutting for em?
Any pics or info[?]

well my plan is either to get a replica mugen kit off the lads cousin on crx-uk or else get a vis bumper from the states and get the WW back bumper, side skirts and door cards!
