Default Still 2wheel drive

Some of ye are aware of my current project. Some aren't.
I've had an 88 Si Shell for some time and I've been longer thinking about what I was going to do with, than the length of time, Ive been currently fabricating this.
I'll let the pics do the talking for now, and I'l keep adding pics as it moves on.
The power plant will be a H22 turbo.
Staying 2wd, but making use of the weight and been different. lol

This is the plan.

Original Crx. I sold the engine and fitted it to a Bow Shape Civic.

Most up to date Pic

So I'm making a mid engined rear drive Crx.
I'm using the front of a eg3 civic, and placing into the rear of the crx. This will allow me to use the front Hubs, to support Drive Shafts, along with a good base for engine alignment.
I taught about a space frame design, but I'd imagine it would require huge trial and error, to figure out wheel alignment.
Cutting of Civic

Bringing it home.

Cutting the firewall of the front chassis legs, was not easy. I welded in support bars before any of this was done.

Trying it out for size

Getting closer

I have also made a full weld in rollcage. Its added security for strenght. Its not fully completed yet, as I'm putting the car on a Spit during the week, and will be seem welding, painting etc.

Hope ye like

So far, this has cost me 500euro. I have an engine, turbo. But there are a lot of other bits to get.
If anyone Knows of an accord or prelude gearbox, let me know.
Thanks

I taught it would be a good idea, to awaken this website, Steve. It's not that far of completion anyway. The hardest, is definitely done. Everything else, I've done before.

Cut & weld, a bit here a bit there. Fair play lad - you know what you're at anyway. This'll be one to keep an eye on definitely.

Lol. Well, there was a bit more to it than that.
I had the chassis laser leveled in the shed. Making a jig was pointless, as it done nothing for castor alignment. It would have worked, if it was, like cutting out one chassis and welding in the same again.
I squared it a 1000 time's, even while welding, and I can guarantee, its less than a 16th of an inch of square, from outside corner to corner, and length. It worked out pretty easy in the end.
