Boot lid hinge snapped!!
Fantastic, eh!??
Opened the boot on the CRX yesterday as I was going to replace the rear lights (one is leaking badly to the point where bulbs are only lasting a couple of weeks!), and one of the hinges snapped on me. So, is it possible to just replace the hinge, or am I looking at replacing the rear hatch completely? It looks as though you can remove the hinge from the hatch, but not sure how easily the bit that's attached to the body of the car comes off. Advice and parts required, if there's anyone still out there!

Hey Paul good to see your still messing around with the CRX even if it is just breaking bits at the minute..
For the leak, is there a crack/hole on the lights? Usually it's the seal behind them that breaks down and let's the water in. They can still be bought new or make your own out of similar foam material you can get on eBay cheap. As for the hinge it is replaceable I've had to do a few myself I might have a spare one here I'll have a root

Thanks Paul, appreciate that. I've had a set of newer (uncracked) rear lights and brand new seals sitting in the garage forever, decided to get the finger out and put them in and this is how I'm repaid!!
Let me know if you have any spares and I'll sort something out with you.

The hinges seem bonded to the body (as well as bolted); I welded mine back together and it worked fine. It may be an option.
