Default Fatmans 1.5 dual carb CRX

Finally got her home last night. Awesome is the only word I can use to describe it.

Shes a 1.5 dual carb model thats been imported from Japland and has plenty of lovely JDM y0 bits and pieces. Pics:

JDM y0!

Free Iceland coat LOL

First mod... Before

After Skunk2 Racing ITR gearnob

Theres plenty of plans for her... but she needs a good tidy up before I start doing anything else. Not going to be driving it until next year sometime so I have plenty of time to make it rawk!

Also want to say thanks to Browne for running me out to get it and thanks to Pete for holding it for the month or so for me :donatello:

XD

Long time no update. Mainly due to me not having a decent camera to take pictures with but Ive just picked one up this morning XD

How it sits now:

So... I havent done an overly lot to the car as Im busy with tech work atm. But spent tuesday and thursday stripping the interior out of it and looking to see if theres any rust or rot on the floor and on the bulkhead... happy to report that theres none There is quite a patch on the inside below the petrol cap and probably the sills will need a bit of work... but swings and roundabouts.

Stripped but have nowhere to put the stuff so just left it back in. lol

Now.... some parts Ive been collecting for it... How I do

Amber corners

JDM maplights

Shifter bushes

JDM flare

Skunk2 Racing Camber kits

Function 7 LCAs

EXE-TC Coilies and Vision Technica front upper strut brace

Also have some JDM wind deflectors that are at Choppys house that I still need to collect... Ill get round to it dude lol. Also waiting for a large shipment of parts from a guy on CRX-UK. Loads to do still

Small update.

Finally got the snap off kit and steering wheel out of the Clio and gave it a bit of a clean. Also got a steering wheel boss from a guy on CRX-UK.

Was taking the side heater vents out of the dash so I could clean them and the dash... It did not go well.

All is well tho... new ones have been bought and all from a guy on CRX-UK

Oh... its been a while. lol Now I have a runner that I actually like, my attention has turned back to the Honda. It hadnt been touched in about 2-3months while I have been working/spending money on the Polo. So...

I took to the engine this week trying to get it stripped down to get it out for a rebuild. Doesnt seem like a hard job but as the car has probably never had these items removed, there all solid as hell. The fuel pipes needed to be cut off, the coolant pipes needed to be prised and worked off with screwdriver... absolute bastard to do . So far I have stripped off:

Rad and all coolant pipes
Wiring
Earth cables
Throttle and clutch cable
Carbs and inlet manifold
Breathers and carb adjustment box
Airbox
Brake servo pipes
Power steering pump
Unbolted the exhaust manifold
Fuel line
Carbon canister

All I have to do is undo the gear linkage, remove the manifold, driveshafts and engine mounts and out it comes

Put all the stuff back in there to keep it safe and dry... looks like ive done nothing lol.

And more parts XD

Aluminium alternator pulley and power steering removal kit.

The pulley is getting machined down cause I dont need the pulleys for aircon and PAS... May leave it in this week to be done.

Also... This week im heading to see Shane AKA Thumper to pick up some 98Spec ITR calipers, 1" master cylinder and servo. I also ordered a new Broadway rear view mirror and a few more goodies from America. And on the 9th of July Tegiwa Imports will be receiving some Aluminium Radiators from Japland... one of those are heading straight to my front door XD. Also have paid for a J's racing replica front splitter. Looks like this:

Exciting stuff... cant wait for these parts to arrive XD. Hopefully I'll do some more stuff to the car this week...
