Default Suspension

Just wondering will coilovers from an EG/EK wwill lower an EF civic as much as they would in say an EG?

From what I've read online I fear the EF shocks are a different length and as such the car would be around standard height if you put them in, but there's so much bullsh*t talk in the threads I've seen on the U.S sites it's hard to tell what info is correct

Thanks

EG-EK are different to eachother anyway arent they..

Anyway to answer your question yes and no..

The likes D2 coilovers will definately do the job for you these go very low and will do exactly what you want on an EF..

But the likes of TEINs then wont go low enough at all as they are Ive genuine EF TEINs on my car and they dont sit massively low and the likes of DC2 ones are ment to sit a mile up over the wheels!

So really depends on what make you get.. You looking for a secondhand set?
Remember you will need to get the lower suspension forks from an EG/DC2 etc to fit them too as the bottom of the newer shocks are wider to EF ones

From what I remember from experience in doing it, Ef dampers are 40mm shorter.
So if you had a 100mm adjustment on your coil over lower than stock, ya would get 60mm.

Cheers lads, it'd be d2's that'd be used. They're eye type so my plan was to swap the control arms from the EG into the EF

D2s will go plenty low.. They were in Jeffs CRX that was sitting nice and low and still had about 40mm lower to go all round

haha I had a feeling you'd be offering that!

The engine is gone in it so I was thinking of throwing everything possible from my EG into this.

I've had the EG for so long now that I can't decide if I can bring myself to do it
