Exhaust advice needed in a hurry.

OK, my exhaust fell off on the way to work this morning (literally!) and I want to replace it as soon as possible. I don't want to do the Kwik Fit thing, though, want to get a reasonably decent stainless system, either cat back or preferably full system.

There aren't too many places in Ireland that are any use, so I need somewhere that will deliver for not-outrageous money.

I've been on to Demon Tweeks, and they have a Scorpion cat back system for around £250, which sounds like a good deal. Anyone have a catalog that can check what this system is like and offer an opinion? There were a couple of Jetex systems no their website as well for similar money, opinions on them appreciated, too.

you could check icetronix.com they have tenzo systems for around the same money ,supposed to be very suited to hondas ,

Id go with either scorpion or mongoose, havent seen the latter but is a popular choice on crx uk.

There was a scorpion system on a vt I looked at up the north last year, it was very nice to say the least, not too load and very sweet in vtec were my thoughts at them time, bit of a vague memory of exact details now.

If you fancy a trip to Belfast, Dee's Exhausts is a Powerflow dealer who did an exhaust for my old dual carber for £300 fitted.

Powerflow systems are custom made to fit the car - they mandrel bend the steel to make it match the original, plus you can decide on back boxes, tips, how loud you want it etc. I decatted it too so it was one piece from the dowpipe back. Made a big defference to mid range power and sounded fantastic once carbon built up in the exhaust (was a bit raspy for the first few weeks). Really good job - was still on the car 2 1/2 years later when I sold it and it was still perfect - no wonder they offer a lifetime warranty.

Judging by the talk on the UK list a lot depends on the dealer - some don't do a good job, but I couldn't recommend Dee more. I'll be getting one for the SiR eventually.

UPDATE: In the end, after talking to Wedgie from CRX-UK about it, I was persuaded to go for the Mongoose system. 2.5" pipe all the way from the manifold back. it's expensive, but if I have to do it anyway, might as well do it properly. Only thing is I have to wait a couple of weeks for them to make it!

Update: After a long wait, the Mongoose arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I'm hoping that a mate and I will be fitting it tomorrow. Trying to host a couple of pics on CRX-UK to let ye see it, but the site seems to be on a go-slow. When it decides to work I'll add them here.
