Default BATTERY NOT RECHARGING!!!

Hey lads, i hope someone can shed some light on this for me, I have a brand new altenator and battery in my car but the battery keeps dying, im wondering if theres a wiring or fuse problem somewhere, anybody had this problem before??? [xx(]

Have you checked voltage across the battery while running?
It should be around 14v this shows that the charging circut is ok..
If the battery is ok then you possibly have a continous draw on the battery

Any lights stuck on? Radio etc?

no lights stuck on, not even getting the battery light up, i did check it before i got the altenator done cause intially i thought that was the problem, and it was actually falling. what would draw so much power that the altenator wouldnt be able to keep up.

got it sorted the feckin dipshite mechanic never put the altenator tensioner back on after changing my timing belt so wasnt tight, so he had my head wrecked over him being a total nob, and me getting new parts that i probably didnt need, fookin twat! im going to kill him.

was the belt squeaking or anything?? Is just mine isnt charging at he min. Funny it just happened there and I read this thread...

As far as I remember the altenator is on a pivot and that itself is the tensioner.. What a tit, was it not screeching or anything?
