front speakers

has anyone uprated there front speakers? ive thrown 6x9's into the rear an the sound is kinda to the rear now. i knew this would happen if i threw in higher wattage speakers. just want to know what people have thrown in and what will fit.

Umm my Si had upgraded speakers when I got it, but I think they're 6.5 inch speakers and if I'm not mistaken I think the front and rear are the same size...don't quote me on that though. Mine has Altec Lansing front and rear with tweeters in the front doors. The speakers are older so they don't sound as good as a brand new system, but they're pretty good. Nice tone and really clear. Also has two 10 inch Rockford Fosgate subs in the back. They're small and add a good low end, but I keep them turned down so I don't go "thump thumping" my way down the street. Also, the subs are powered by a 400W California amp.
